Description

250A rated, monaxial vapor-cooled current leads offer efficient introduction of high currents into the liquid helium environment (i.e., to the superconducting magnet). This is accomplished by utilizing the helium off-gas from the system to cool the power leads. The leads minimize system heat load. Consequently, the helium loss rate of the system is also minimized. Standard monaxial vapor-cooled current leads are a good choice for research that involves both persistent mode and swept-field magnet operation. Price is per pair.

Available as an option, superconducting buss bars further reduce heat load to the liquid helium path by providing a low-loss connection between the vapor-cooled current leads and the superconducting magnet input leads. Provided in 24″ length. Price is per pair.
